AWNO Day – Founders Day Celebration: Honoring Our Legacy, Advancing Our Mission

Each year on March 3rd, The African World Network Organization Inc. commemorates AWNO Day, our official Founders Day and the anniversary of our founding in 1993. This day honors the vision, courage, and dedication of those who established our organization with a mission to unify and uplift people of African descent across the globe.

AWNO Day is more than a celebration of our history—it's a recommitment to our purpose. Through a special gathering of members, partners, and supporters, we reflect on the journey we've traveled, acknowledge the impact we've made, and envision the future we strive to build. Whether through a ceremonial dinner, shared stories, or updates on our initiatives, this occasion reconnects us to our roots and reinspires our collective path forward.

As we celebrate another year of community, progress, and purpose, we invite all who share in the African cause to stand with us in solidarity and action.

Make A Difference Day with The African World Network Organization Inc.

Each year, The African World Network Organization Inc. proudly joins communities across the world in observing Make A Difference Day, a national day of service dedicated to creating positive change through local action. In keeping with our mission to advance the African agenda and empower communities of African descent, this day offers us a meaningful opportunity to come together, reflect, and act.

Our observance will include a community gathering-a meeting or dinner—to engage in thoughtful dialogue around strategies for progress, unity, and impact across the African diaspora. In addition, we will launch a Day of Service Pledge, inviting members and supporters to contribute funds toward a targeted community need, whether local or abroad. This is more than a day of recognition, it's a step toward real transformation through collective effort. Together, we aim to make a difference that lasts; grounded in purpose, powered by unity.
